After being detected by the public security department, although it was not directly related to the education department, this incident also sounded the alarm for us, and we will further strengthen the confidentiality of students’ personal information.

The problem of personal information security in big data environment is particularly prominent, and individual rights and interests, public order and national security have been seriously affected, which has aroused widespread concern in the whole society. Strengthening the security protection of personal information in the big data environment is an important issue that needs to be solved urgently. At present, the disclosure of personal information is very serious and needs to be solved urgently. —— Ma Huateng
Talking about information security
We should further crack down on reselling personal privacy information.
Reporter: From the case of Xu Yuyu, we can see that the personal information of citizens is seriously leaked at present. In your opinion, what is the real leakage of personal information at present? A lot of personal information is packaged and sold through platforms such as WeChat and QQ. What has Tencent done?
Ma Huateng: We did observe that there is a lot of information used for trading and exchange in many QQ groups and WeChat. Therefore, recently, with the support of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we have made a relatively big move. In fact, it has been cracking down on personal information transactions, but this kind of transactions is really secretive. For example, what they say is completely code names, terms, and keywords can’t be retrieved. Therefore, it is still necessary to find out the problem from other channels.
In addition to using the big data model to analyze, we can’t get away from the most earthy and stupid method. We call it "putting a snake", which means that if you want to buy this information, you can basically find a string by really going through the whole process.
Of course, the police and public security departments should pay attention to cracking down on crimes and arresting people. We suggest to intensify the crackdown instead of launching a campaign. Although this is a complicated matter, I believe it can always be solved as long as I think about it and try it every day.
I call for a stronger crackdown, for example, to further crack down on the reselling of personal privacy information, which is the main source of many fraud crimes, and it needs to be strengthened at both the legislative and law enforcement levels.
Talking about Mobile Payment in real-name registration system
Big data should not collect too much personal privacy information.
Reporter: You said that mobile payment of real-name registration system may be an effective means to protect personal information. However, after mobile payment in real-name registration system, a lot of information, including personal credit evaluation, will be in the hands of Tencent or other platforms. Is this privacy risk tolerable?
Ma Huateng: After a relatively large network telecom fraud incident occurred in the second half of 2016, all operators, networks and banks acted as a whole. The real-name that failed to land for many years was completely implemented in these months.
Therefore, at present, not only operators, including network terminals and banks, have been fully real-named, but the regulatory authorities are also stepping up their special crackdown on the sale of citizens’ personal information. However, for experienced "black products" (black industries), they can’t stop him.
Nowadays, there are many people reselling ID cards on the Internet. For example, using a little kindness to trick farmers into lending their ID cards to "black products" to buy bank cards, communication cards, etc., there is no problem from the data. In addition, if personal information is collected too comprehensively, it will cause greater secondary disasters in case it is abused by others or stolen by an employee.
Therefore, I suggest that big data should not collect so much personal privacy information, and should only collect necessary or even desensitized information. At present, many enterprises keep their personal information in disorder and lack basic work.
Talking about Internet medical treatment
Release the energy of a good 3A hospital.
Reporter: Internet medical care has always been controversial. On February 8, Baidu announced the overall abolition of the mobile medical business unit. On March 3rd, Dr. Baidu announced that it would be officially shut down on April 1st. Tencent has also been exploring in this regard. You once said that you would break the information island problem of medical institutions. What do you think of Internet medical treatment? Can Tencent disclose its annual R&D investment and business performance in the field of Internet medical care?
Ma Huateng: I think "+"medical care and education are the most difficult problems in the field of internet plus. It is very complicated, and the gameplay is different from each angle. There are many and complicated chains. In particular, there are policy issues in medical care, such as medical insurance and separation of medicines. Therefore, in the past, Tencent’s idea was to invest in many Internet medical companies and cut into the market from different angles.
We hope to build another platform on our traffic platform, including social networks and communication platforms, so that enterprises that we have invested (or other enterprises that have not invested) and enterprises that are interested in developing in this industry can make good use of our platform (there is a medical and health sub-platform for them), which is the problem we are thinking about.
We still hope that the national policy can release the energy of good top three hospitals and good doctors.
There is still a problem, that is, medicine is not separated, and a lot of consultation fees and medical expenses are obtained through the superposition of medicines. This is unhealthy in the long run, but there is no way to simply change it.
How to combine medical equipment with the Internet of Things? I see a development trend in this respect, and I am also very interested. Therefore, I also encourage more people to invest in this industry.
Talking about children’s online games
Make an appointment for the game time and establish the concept of budget.
Reporter: As a father, how do you manage and guide your children to surf the Internet and play online games? Tencent recently launched a growth monitoring platform to help parents understand and guide their children’s online game behavior. What do you think of the effectiveness of this platform? Will you use this platform to understand and manage your children’s online game behavior?
Ma Huateng: I judge products by personal experience. The team mentioned this plan to me before. For example, parents can let their children play games on weekends through platform settings, and they can’t play during school from Monday to Friday.
I also use this way to make an appointment with my children for game time, not to give it across the board. The game does have its advantages, but it should not be excessive and addicted, and time should be managed well. Establish the concept of budget for children, and there is also a quota for consumption. After spending, there will be no more. I think it is very good to provide such a tool that parents and children can manage it together. (Jin Yu)
